The following error message may be displayed on the console during the build process such as generation/compilation of the source code and table creation of the database.
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded
In this case, increase the memory for Wagby Designer. The specific procedure is as follows.
- Open the wagbydesigner/bin folder in the folder where you installed Wagby.
- Open setenv.bat (setenv.sh for Linux, Mac OS X series) included in it with a text editor.
- The number after -Xmx and -XmsbigTo do."M" behind the number means mega unit. The initial value of 4096 m means using 4096 megabytes or 4 Gbytes of memory.
set CATALINA_OPTS=-server -Xmx4096m -Xms1024m
For example, setting to use 8 GB of memory is as follows.
set CATALINA_OPTS=-server -Xmx8192m -Xms1024m
- Save the edits of this file and restart WagbyDesigner.
When using 32 bit Java, the initial value of -Xmx designation is 1024 m as the upper limit.Since the performance of the build process will degrade, it is recommended to use 64 bit Java.
